“We are a family of internally displaced persons who were forced to leave our hometown of Kharkiv because of the war. The relocation was a difficult challenge for us: anxiety about the future, the loss of a sense of safety and home accompanied our family for a long time, especially our child,” Anastasiia shares

“During this difficult period, psychological support became a real pillar for us. At the sessions, we felt genuine understanding, attentiveness, and a safe space where we could openly talk about our experiences and emotions. With the child, there were play-based activities and exercises to reduce tension and provide emotional relief, which gradually helped her calm down, become more open and confident, and regain interest in the simple joys of childhood.”

Thanks to the support provided within the project, the child began to sleep better, feel anxious less often, and once again sincerely enjoy everyday things. For us as parents, these sessions became an opportunity to restore our inner strength, better understand our child’s emotional state, and learn how to support her in difficult moments.

We sincerely thank you for your care and humanity. The support we received helped our family regain a sense of stability, restore confidence in ourselves, and take an important step toward emotional recovery and adaptation to a new life.
