The full-scale war has changed the lives of millions of Ukrainians. Many people have found themselves needing to start over, seek new opportunities, and learn how to live in a new reality.
Ms. Liudmyla’s story is exactly about that.
Before the war, she was a homemaker. However, difficult circumstances forced her to look for a new path and a new profession. Through social media, she learned about the project “PROFDIYA: VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND SUPPORT,” implemented by Unity Platform NGO with the support of Razom for Ukraine.
This was how Ms. Liudmyla decided to take the first step toward change - she completed a training course and gained qualifications as a seamstress.
“It was not easy to change my usual way of life,” the heroine shares.
Thanks to the support of Unity Platform NGO, she was able to find a job in her hometown of Kharkiv and today works in a profession that brings her not only income but also confidence in the future.
“For me, this was not just training - it was a breath of fresh air during a difficult time, both for me personally and for the entire country. The training was not only about dry theory; there was also a lot of practice, support, humanity, and a feeling that we were not alone. It was here that I once again found the strength to move forward, learn, work, and believe in myself and in the people around me,” says Ms. Liudmyla.
This story is another reminder of how important support is during difficult times. Sometimes a single opportunity, new knowledge, and belief in oneself can become the beginning of an entirely new life.
