Two families from Vyshneve in the Kharkiv region went through occupation, evacuation, and five months of living… without a window
During the summer shelling, shrapnel shattered the glass in the room where a grandmother and her granddaughter were living. The “eVidnovlennia” program did not work, the apartment owners were abroad, and charitable foundations refused to provide assistance
Five months of cold, mold, dampness, and helplessness

Our social specialists learned about this story while supporting the family within the small grants project for social services, supported by the Government of the United Kingdom under the SPIRIT program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities, UNICEF Ukraine, and administered by ISAR Ednannia

Together with the team of the project “Professional Activity for Integration and Quality Growth” (supported by Razom for Ukraine), we found a solution
The first group of trainees in the “PVC Workshop Worker” specialization had just started their practical training - and manufactured a new window
Free of charge. For people who needed it most

This was complemented by humanitarian assistance - cleaning and disinfection supplies to restore cleanliness and safety in the home.

Today, the room is bright, warm, and clean again.
The grandmother is sewing a new white curtain, the children are once again studying in natural light, and the most important thing has returned to the home - comfort and care.

This is a story about cooperation, humanity, and how even a single installed window can restore the feeling of home
