Grant Objective

The objective of the project is to establish sustainable response mechanisms in communities of Kharkiv region by strengthening the capacity of local social institutions to support vulnerable groups – in particular, war veterans and their families, internally displaced persons, persons with disabilities, and individuals affected by the war.

Expected Results 

  • The institutional capacity of local social institutions (CNSS of Zmiiv and Malynivka communities) has been strengthened through the creation and development of support spaces equipped with necessary resources and personnel.
  • Access to social services has been expanded for vulnerable population groups, including psychological, counseling, transportation, preventive, and adaptation support.
  • Sustainable support mechanisms for war veterans and their families have been introduced, including psychological assistance, employment support, socio-legal consultations, and recreational activities.
  • The qualifications of local specialists (social workers, psychologists, educators) have been enhanced in crisis intervention, inclusive approaches, case management, and work with veterans.
  • Partnerships between local authorities, veteran organizations, and NGOs have been strengthened to coordinate comprehensive assistance.
  • Public awareness about available services and the rights of vulnerable groups has been increased through a communication campaign.
  • Sustainable practices of social support have been established in communities, ensuring a long-term impact.
