The project is implemented by Unity Platform with the aim of creating an integrated, gender-sensitive, and community-based support model for internally displaced persons in collective centers across Kharkiv region. The initiative combines short-term humanitarian aid with long-term pathways toward sustainable solutions.
Key Project Areas:
– Protection and access to services: individual case management, psychological support, assistance for survivors of gender-based violence, legal consultations, and support in accessing state benefits and social services.
– Leadership and self-governance: formation of initiative groups in three collective centers, engagement of residents in decision-making, and implementation of small-scale space improvements through a mini-grants program.
– Economic self-reliance: vocational training, development of financial literacy skills, and the creation of a social sewing workshop for women and people with disabilities.
Expected results – improved safety, access to services and opportunities for women, children, persons with disabilities, and all residents of collective centers; strengthened participation in decision-making and increased economic independence.
This project is focused on dignity, recovery, and development – to ensure that every person can feel safe, realize their potential, and build a future in a peaceful Ukraine.
