The Music Space “Soul” project demonstrated that music is a powerful tool for emotional recovery, mental health support, and community cohesion.

Implemented at the Zmiiv School of Arts, the project created a creative and therapeutic environment for families, children, and youth. It aimed to reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion among residents through music therapy and interactive learning sessions.

Key Components

  • Music therapy and family sessions: jam sessions, master classes, and collaborative performances to promote emotional relief and connection.
  • Innovative approach: use of modern interactive music equipment, non-traditional instruments, and innovative teaching methods.
  • Psychological support: a psychologist attended each session, measuring participants’ stress levels before and after, and offering free consultations.
  • Cultural revitalization: the project enhanced family unity, emotional intelligence, and the cultural vibrancy of the community.

Impact

Music Space “Soul” became a sustainable community hub for creative and emotional recovery, showing how art, technology, and psychology can work together to support mental health and post-war healing.
The equipped School of Arts continues to host music therapy sessions, family events, and artistic workshops for the community.
