A meeting of the Coordination Council on Internally Displaced Persons took place in Kharkiv, during which Unity Platform NGO presented the results of the project “Strengthening the resilience of residents of collective centers in Kharkiv region,” implemented by UN Women Ukraine in partnership with Unity Platform NGO. The project is financially supported by the governments of Sweden and Latvia, as well as the national committees of UN Women.
The project has become one of the most successful examples of support for internally displaced persons in the region, demonstrating an effective model of working with residents of temporary accommodation settings, strengthening their resilience, and supporting their integration into the community.
During the meeting, the leadership role of Unity Platform NGO in developing systematic support for IDPs was highlighted, and it was recommended to consider scaling the project to other temporary accommodation settings in the Kharkiv region.
Such initiatives confirm that the combined efforts of civil society, authorities, and partners deliver real results in supporting people affected by the war.
