An open meeting dedicated to the development of social services and strengthening cooperation took place

In Kharkiv, within the framework of the “Small Grants” project, implemented with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom under the SPIRIT project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities, and UNICEF Ukraine, and administered by ISAR Ednannia, an open meeting was held dedicated to the development of social services and strengthening cooperation among all those working to support people in difficult life circumstances.

During the event, Unity Platform NGO presented its experience in providing social services in accordance with national standards. We shared practical approaches applied in our daily work, spoke about the challenges faced by service providers, and highlighted solutions that help make support more accessible, timely, and effective.

A separate part of the meeting included a survey of social service providers from the non-governmental sector. Its purpose was to better understand current needs, barriers, and opportunities for the development of social services in communities. Such discussions help not only assess the situation but also jointly develop practical solutions focused on the real needs of people.

For us, participation in such meetings is an opportunity not only to present our own experience, but also to engage in a broader professional dialogue, build partnerships, and work together to ensure that social services become more accessible, understandable, and effective for every person in need of support.
