Vienna, Austria - September 27 – October 8, 2025 The Unity Platform NGO has successfully completed a 10-day intensive training within the Civil Society Leadership Programme for Ukraine (CLPU) - an initiative of the NGO Academy, jointly organized by the ERSTE Foundation and WU Vienna (Vienna University of Economics and Business).

Why it matters

CLPU focuses on strengthening the management capacity of Ukrainian civil society organizations during wartime. For Unity Platform, this is an investment in the quality of project management, fundraising, and organizational resilience, which directly enhances the effectiveness of support provided to communities in Ukraine.

What the training included

  • Leadership and strategy: modern approaches to decision-making, strategic planning, and management ethics.
  • Management and fundraising: funding diversification, donor relations, and impact measurement.
  • Organizational resilience: risk management, team safety, accountability policies, and institutional development.

Experts and inspiration

The training was led by leading scholars and practitioners, including Prof. Michael Meyer, Peter Vandor, Alina Nosenko, Lisa Ringofer, and Georg Matuschkowitz. The team drew special inspiration from the speeches of Boris Marte (CEO of ERSTE Foundation), Yana Barinova, and Ambassador Emil Brix.
Organizational excellence was ensured by the NGO Academy team – Yvonne, Klara, Martin, Anastasiia, and Sarah.
